We're excited to use our platform to showcase music releases by artists whose music we love. Working with artists helps us stay involved with developments in new and innovative music, and as our community grows we're well placed to present music to an aligned audience, which we know is becoming difficult nowadays.   The aim for now is to keep things light and simple, not albums, multiple albums, vinyl and so on. Just single pieces, released digitally, with a pre-formatted artwork to let the music do the talking, that we share with our people.

Newest Release: 𝙼𝙸𝚂𝚂𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝙼𝚄𝚂𝙸𝙲 - Sonic Refrabulator Stochos Forester [SONGREC002]

 

The latest track 'Sonic Refrabulator Stochos Forester’ is from a project called ‘𝙼𝙸𝚂𝚂𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝙼𝚄𝚂𝙸𝙲’ by Suren Seneviratne (aka My Panda Shall Fly).

Suren is a prolific Sri Lankan sound artist based in London and Kent, UK. His conceptual project 𝙼𝙸𝚂𝚂𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝙼𝚄𝚂𝙸𝙲 meticulously documents obsolete music software, VST plugins and sound tools designed for Macintosh computers during the 1990s and 2000s. Originally conceived as an online repository boasting over 250+ archival entries, the project has since transformed into a compelling audio-visual improvisational live performance featuring Apple iBook and PowerBook computers authentic to the Y2K era.

"I've been fascinated by rare and esoteric Mac music software for a few years as I've found these tools to be innovative and very inspiring, even by today's standards. I've amassed a collection of 'obsolete' Mac laptop and desktop computers to write music and perform with as well as preserve this software for the future."

As My Panda Shall Fly, Seneviratne has explored and pushed the threshold of experimental media for over a decade across record production, remix work, radio broadcast, film composition, theatre design, Net Art, interactive VR and exhibition.
